Frank Patterson Bickel
Frank was born in Trenton, NJ on 12 Oct 1921. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on 15 January 1942 as a private and later was accepted as an aviation cadet and earned his wings. Frank was one of the original 118th pilots that made the trip to the CBI theater. He completed his 100 missions and returned to the US and was discharged 29 Dec 1945. After the war he was employed by RCA Service Corporation and remained in the Air Force reserve, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. After a long illness, Frank died 03 Dec 1962 at the age of 41. He was survived by a wife and three children.
